Montana Society of Pathologists
The Montana Society of Pathologists shall advance the practice of medicine and the subspecialty of Pathology, to foster close association and cooperation among members as well as the general medical community, and to enlighten and inform the public about the practice of Pathology and its role in scientific medicine. This shall be accomplished by stimulation of scientific investigation, by periodic conferences, by improvement of laboratory methods, by study and discussion of socioeconomic factors that influence the practice of Pathology and clinical medicine, and by mutual assistance. All objectives share the common purpose of promoting safe and optimal patient care.

Dr. Albertson is a professor of pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and currently serves as the Division Chief for Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Oncology. He previously served as the Section Head for Surgical Pathology as well as the head of Genitourinary Pathology. He received his MD from the University of Nebraska and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Creighton University, followed by a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Utah. While at Creighton, Dr. Albertson served as the chief resident for two years and received the Hal Lankford Pathology Resident Award. He is a member of United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Albertson’s special research interests include genitourinary, gynecologic and solid tumor pathology.
